Thanks for tuning in to this week’s short and sweet weekly collective reading. These readings are now free but please keep in mind that doing readings takes energy so if you can pay for a subscription, buy me a coffee, or just make a love donation, it would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and have you checked out my daily oracle pulls (Monday-Friday, except major holidays)?
Now on to the weekly collective reading. As always, if it don’t apply, then let it fly.
The first thought I had when I saw these cards was, “slow your roll”. I got an immediate image of a car accident.
Be careful this week if you are driving. There may be car accidents, and you may be involved in one. Slow down, especially in bad weather, and try not to drive too close to the bumpers of cars in front of you (this is the normal mode of driving in the Washington, DC area, so that’s going to be a challenge 😂). Be aware of your surroundings and of other drivers, especially if you live or work near a college or university. In parking lots and driveways, back out slowly; give yourself room to stop and maneuver if an inattentive driver doesn’t see you.
I’m getting that the accident will result in having to temporarily go back to a lesser form of transportation like walking, or taking the bus or the subway.
On a non-driving note, slow down and make sure that you are doing the little things in order to accomplish a goal. These small things may be tedious and seem unimportant, but trying to shortcut around them will end up harming you in the long run.
Here’s an analogy: you want to start jogging in order to lose weight. However, you dislike doing the stretches and warm-up exercises prior to jogging. You decide to stop doing them, opting to just start jogging. You later pull a muscle because you had not warmed your muscles up properly, which means you can’t jog for a while, which temporarily derails your weight loss efforts (because the pulled muscle means you can’t do other types of exercises, either). One shortcut has a domino effect that pushes your end goal a bit further out of reach.
Do the work that is needed, no matter how boring or seemingly unimportant. Thank me later.
Thanks for stopping by.
